Guy C. Mathieu

Guy was born in St. Paul, Alberta. Very early in his childhood he
moved with his family to Merritt, B. C., then later to Edmonton. He
attended College St. Jean during high school and later graduated
with a Degree in Education from the University of Alberta. He taught
school for three years at Edmonton and one year in Summerland, B. C.
before entering Law School at the University of Alberta. He was
admitted to the Bar in 1973 and moved to Peace River the same year.
Guy's involvement in the community and its activities at Peace River
are many and varied. He currently belongs to the Rotary Club, The
Mighty Peace Petroleum Association, The Knights of Columbus and The
Alberta Wildlife Foundation. He is past president of the Chamber of
Commerce, and past School Board Trustee.
Personally, Guy enjoys being with family, hunting, skiing, scuba
diving, traveling and generally all forms of outdoor activities.
In 1998 Guy Mathieu was named a Queen's Counsel by the Government of
the Province of Alberta. Guy retired from the firm in June, 2006 but
continues as an associate until he completely retires.
